Volunteer Training 30-Hour Certificate Course
AHS Client Support Volunteers are integral in the support of those who are grieving and those who are dying.

AHS Client Support Training is offered three times a year at the AHS office. This course is a prerequisite for anyone who wishes to support Bereavement or Palliative clients through AHS support services.

Fall Class 2020
- Wednesdays, 6:00-9:00pm Sept. 23 – Nov. 4 AND Saturday Oct.3, 9:00am-4:00pm
Winter Class 2021
- Saturdays, 9:00am–4:00pm February 6,13, 20, 27 and March 6
Spring Class 2021
- Thursdays, 1:00–4:00 p.m. April 1 – June 3
It is hoped that all registrants will attend all ten classes, however, attendance at nine of the ten is required to successfully complete the course in order to engage as a Client Support Volunteer with Abbotsford Hospice Society.

Schedule an appointment with our Volunteer Coordinator for an intake interview. (Please allow 30-45 minutes for this appointment).

If you are accepted into our volunteer training program, you will be contacted within 1 week of your interview by the Volunteer Coordinator to begin the application process.
Please note that we do our best to accommodate all applicants. Due to limited enrollment and the number of applications we receive, submitting an application does not necessarily guarantee admission to Abbotsford Hospice Society volunteer training.
