Support Our Hospice Work Through Donation

WHY DONATE NOW ?

People of all ages, cultures, beliefs, and life circumstances die every day. Many die confused, frightened, or lonely; and many families dealing with impending death and end-of-life issues are simply overwhelmed and under supported. Both the palliative person and their support circle benefit from our informed and trained volunteer companionship. The need for our services is urgent and immediate — often overlooked until the point of family or individual crisis. One never knows when one will be dealing with an end-of-life crisis, for a loved one or oneself. By supporting these services, even before you require them, you effectively ensure they will be there when you, your family, or your friends need them.

Canadian Western Bank supports Abbotsford Hospice Society AHS Resource and Support Centre: providing leadership and programs in response to the social needs of the residents of Abbotsford. The Art Project On 20 September 2008, The Art Project had their first Gallery showing, labeled "Urban gallery." Part of the proceeds from the sale of art pieces was donated to the Abbotsford Hospice Society. AHS is grateful to this group of artists for their support of bereavement and palliative support services.

Dignity Memorial Charity Golf Tournament On 18 September 2008, Dignity Memorial held a Charity Golf Tournament at Cultus Lake Golf & Country Club in support of hospice services in the Fraser Valley. The Abbotsford Hospice Society received $ 3,200 as our share of the proceeds from this event. Our sincere thanks to Dignity for their continuing support.

Eagles Donation In July 2008, Brian Kersey of the Fraternal Order of Eagles presented AHS Executive Director, Debbie Lehmann and Board Vice Chair, Craig Carmichael with a cheque in the amount of $3600 for the purposes of upgrading the resource library at our Resource and Support Centre.
