Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes, presents cheque to 6 hospice societies in the Fraser Valley!
Over the last 4 years, through an annual golf tournament, Dignity Memorial has raised over $80,000 for hospice societies in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Langley, Surrey and White Rock. As North America’s largest provider of funeral, cremation and cemetery services and a committed community supporter, the Dignity Memorial network is the name families turn to for compassionate and professional final arrangements.
At this year’s golf tournament on September 20th, Angelo Rea, Area General Manager of Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes and Jayson Gordon, Market Director for BC and Alberta presented a cheque for $31,715.00 for all six Fraser Valley hospice societies.
Angelo said “We, as a group of funeral homes are pleased to give back to our community to support such a crucial service. Contributing to our community is the essence of Woodlawn and Henderson’s funeral homes”. Angelo is also the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Abbotsford Hospice Society and serves on the AHS Capital Campaign Committee.
A portion of the funds raised this year will benefit the construction of Holmberg House, the first adult hospice residence to be built in Abbotsford.
Dave Holmberg Sr. commented “My family is so grateful for the support given to us in our time of need when we lost our son, brother and husband, Dave Holmberg Jr. Hospice in any community serves the needs of people in their time of need so well and I truly appreciate the opportunity to help secure these funds, a portion of which will go towards our family’s dream of completing Holmberg House.”
