Curl for Care
On January 29th, Barb Arthur and her committee hosted a fund raiser, Curl for Care, at the Abbotsford Curling Rink. The hard working committee raised $6000 for the Campus of Care partners – Abbotsford Hospice Society, Canuck Place and Matthew’s Place.
It was a fun event for a great cause. First place team was Ledgeview Golf Course, second place Davis Meats and third place Team Peary. The “Almost a Turkey” award went to the Fraser Glen Team and the “Turkey” winner was the Apex Communications girls’ team.
Due to the enthusiastic response to this curling bonspiel fun event, it is likely that Barb and her team will give it a go again in 2013. If anyone would like to be a sponsor or volunteer for next year, call Marion at Hospice. 604-852-2456
